Moscow, Russia Aug 22, 2023 (Issuewire.com) – Sergey Gushchin’s Team Triumphs in Rail Service Group’s Business Regatta in Turkey
In 2023, Rail Service Group resurrected its annual business regatta, Spring Sailing Week (SSW), after a three-year hiatus. This cherished tradition invites railway industry enterprises and associated sectors to compete. The driving force behind this initiative, Sergey Gushchin, boasts an impressive professional journey deeply intertwined with the railway industry.
Since 2018, Sergey Gushchin has been the founding force and Chairman of the Board of Rail Service holding company, which unified an array of railcar repair enterprises. Beyond leading his company, Sergey Gushchin has been an influential figure in “Business Russia,” an All-Russia Public Organization, serving as a member of the Coordination Council and Chairman of the Committee on Machine Building since 2018. Solidifying his commitment to the railway sector, in 2019, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Non-Profit Organization “Union of Railcar Repair Works” and became the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. From 2020 to 2022, Sergey Gushchin extended his expertise as a Member of the Board of Directors of PJSC “TransContainer.” His outstanding contributions earned him the esteemed “Honorary Transport Worker of the CIS” medal.
From May 27 to June 3, the shores of Turkey became a battleground for 12 corporate squads, a mix of companies under the Rail Service Group umbrella and others encompassing railway rolling stock operations, wagon maintenance, banking, solid-rolled railway wheel production, port business, and trading.
The inaugural SSW regatta in 2018 in Croatia featured just 7 teams. This year, that number has seen a remarkable increase, bringing together both seasoned sailors and novices. The competition was segmented into two categories – Bavaria 46 and Hanse 445, with each having its champion.
SSW offers more than just a sporting thrill; it merges the realms of business and leisure. Participants gain cherished memories, an adrenaline boost, and the opportunity for potential business liaisons that could evolve into fruitful partnerships. The event exemplifies the essence of effective networking and the significance of cohesive team dynamics, pivotal in both yachting and prosperous businesses.
Each team’s indomitable spirit was evident in their perseverance against all odds.
Sergey Gushchin’s combined crew emerged victorious in the Bavaria 46 category, marking their inaugural triumph in three endeavors. Wagon-Wheeled Workshop from Stary Oskol secured the second spot, followed by the Dubai-based trading company OWLL clinching bronze.
Sharing his thoughts on the event, Sergey Gushchin stated, “The sail is a testament to the force driving us. It signifies our collective effort propelling our forward momentum.”
With an eye on the future, Rail Service is eager to reinforce the regatta tradition, aiming to entice more members from the railway business community. https://rail-service.com/en/#page-news.
